Open source
FleetOps is open core. The product you install from fleets/fleetops is Apache-2.0, all of it, and the code that makes the Enterprise edition sits next to it where you can read it.
How the repository is licensed
fleetops/Apache-2.0The server, the agent, the web UI, Docker, Kubernetes and Helm support, roles and the audit log. Use it, change it, ship it, commercially or not.
fleetops/ee/FleetOps Enterprise LicenseSource-available. You may read, modify and test it; running it in production needs a subscription. Built only into the Enterprise image.
What stays free
- Everything a single team needs to run containers: Docker, Podman, agents, Kubernetes, Helm.
- Roles, namespace scoping and the audit log. Access control is a safety feature, not an upsell.
- No user limits and no time limits in Community.
- Community code never depends on Enterprise code. A CI check fails the build if it ever does.
